Arboricultural Consultancy

CRAiG Tree Services provide tree surveys and reports in accordance with the British Standard 5837 2012: Trees in relation to Design, Demolition and Construction (BS 5837).

We can provide BS 5837 reports on the instruction of Architects, Local Authorities, Commercial Organisations and individuals who are wishing to develop land containing trees, or carry out development which may affect trees on neighbouring land. We work with the client and the Local Authority to provide Arboricultural guidance & design solutions which facilitate development of sites whilst protecting the trees which are earmarked for retention.

Tree Preservation and Conservation Areas

We provide guidance on Tree Preservation Orders (TPO) & Conservation Area matters concerning trees, and act as agents for customers who wish to apply to carry out work on trees subject to a TPO or trees which lie within a Conservation Area.

Veteran & Ancient Tree Management

Veteran Tree Management is an area we are passionate about. Britain has one of the highest concentrations of veteran trees in the world. A specialist management approach has been developed in recent years by experts in this field and we are able to advise and implement management recommendations based on this approach. Recently CRAiG Tree Services were selected to advise and carry out specialist remedial work on the 4000 year old Yew tree at Llangernyw, Conwy, North Wales. This work is briefly mentioned on the Woodland Trust's website here - http://www.ancient-tree-hunt.org.uk/discoveries/newdiscoveries/2010/The+Llangernyw+Yew.
