GLAN LLYN – In the man-basket.

Dangerous Beech tree removal using 200 ft crane at Gwersyll Yr Urdd—Glan Llyn, Bala. The tree was unsafe to climb, removal of 1/3 of the upper canopy was called for so over the course of 2 days the team carefully "section-felled" the tree by removing small sections of the tree whilst suspended from the crane. A large amount of the tree canopy was growing over the High-Ropes course so the utmost care was necessary to prevent any damage.

GLAN LLYN – Crane. Dangerous Beech tree removal using 200 ft crane at Gwersyll Yr Urdd—Glan Llyn, Bala.

Here members of the team are carrying out their work suspended from the crane—the tree being worked on is to the left of the picture. Limited space meant they were hoisted over the tree to the front of the photograph and carefully positioned within the Beech tree canopy. TreeFelling Bala North Wales

GLAN LLYN – Felling. Dangerous Beech tree removal using 200 ft crane at Gwersyll Yr Urdd—Glan Llyn, Bala.

Once it was deemed safe to do so the 100 ft tree was felled by Craig Fergus-Jones. The tree was directed to fall between 2 other 100 ft tall trees with inches to spare either side. Our job specification dictated that no unnecessary damage was to occur to the remaining magnificent large trees on this site—our experience allowed us to ensure the work was carried out easily in this way. WOODFEST. Here Craig Fergus-Jones "Warms-up" in preparation to compete in a Arborists Tree Climbing Competition at the Woodfest, North Wales.

This was the first time that this type of competition took place at this event with it usually being necessary to travel far and wide for Craig to take part in such competitions. 3rd place on the day and looking forward to the 2014 event already! TreeFelling Bala North Wales

BRAMHAM. Here two members of the team are carrying out tree safety pruning works at Bramham Park Estate, near Leeds, on an avenue of 120ft Lime trees.

This work is carried out yearly to ensure the safety of the visitors to the site—vital when you consider two weeks after this photo was taken the site was transformed in to the venue for the world famous "Reading & Leeds Festival" and shortly after this the "Bramham Horse Trials" take place too!
